Development Office Staff
Don joined Penn State in 2008 first as associate director and then director of major gifts for Penn State’s College of Engineering. Prior to 2008, Don, a Penn State alumnus (Acctg, ’89; HRER 14’), worked for 16 years as a campus director of The Navigators, a faith-based organization focused on mentoring emerging leaders, most recently at the University of Massachusetts. As director of development for the College of Arts and Architecture, Don is available to help friends of the college learn about how their gifts and philanthropy can best achieve the donor’s objectives while advancing the mission of the arts and design community. If you would like to learn more about endowment opportunities at Penn State, how to help sustain the arts through an estate gift, or how you can make most impact through your annual gifts, please feel free to contact Don directly.

Steve Wilson, who joined the staff in September 2014, is proud to reunite with the College of Arts and Architecture, where he earned his M.F.A. in Acting in 1997 (studying alongside notable Theatre alumni Ty Burrell and Keegan Michael Key). A former professional actor, Steve appeared in numerous Broadway, national tour, regional and stock productions around the United States before retiring from show business in 2010. Most recently, Steve served as the assistant director of development in Annual Giving for his undergraduate alma mater, Miami University. He looks forward to connecting with other College of Arts and Architecture alumni and supporters, helping transform donors’ passion for Penn State into meaningful, lasting impact for students and faculty, and establishing an exciting new life in State College with his wife, Nicole.

Robin Seymour is a familiar face to many in the College of Arts and Architecture, as she is both an alumna and a former employee. She was a graduate assistant at the Palmer Museum of Art and earned her master's degree in art history in 1998. Robin served as coordinator of membership and public relations at the Palmer from 2001 to 2007, when she returned to Maine to be closer to family. She spent the past six years as manager and assistant to the owner of Eric Hopkins Gallery in Rockland, Maine. She says her heart always remained in Happy Valley with her “second family of staff, volunteers, and supporters of the Palmer Museum and the college,” and she is happy to now be helping friends and alumni of the college reach their philanthropic goals.
